About the company
GESTRA CZ, s.r.o. is a manufacturer of the well known paving-stone splitting machines HSM 200x280/43t and other stone-splitting machines with a splitting power of up to1200t and blocks dimensions of up to 2000 x 1000 x 3000 mm. All splitting machines are equipped with Bosch high pressure hydraulic system with a special characteristic for stone splitting. This hydraulic system has proven very practical and has been used without changes for more then 20 years. The development of machines continues according to demands of customers, the development of new materials and customers' organization conditions. We are intensively engaged in customers needs, we have hands on experience through direct contact with customers' plants. We develope new machines, conveyors and accessories. We understand that customer needs to produce goods and not to repair machines. Our splitting machines are in demand, not only for their high quality and life span, but also because of their production efficiency and our fast quality service. Our machines and accessories are used in more than 15 countries including the Czech Republic. We regularly participate in international professional exhibitions in Great Britain, Germany, Poland, Russia, Ukraine, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. As a testimonial, we have been awarded gold and silver medal for our exhibited machines. Our company resides in the woods, in the scenic valley of the Orlické mountains.
History
> 1992
Gestra, s.r.o. was founded. Shortly after the foundation, Gestra established cooperation with Porsfeld, a German manufacturer of the well known paving-stone splitting machines HSM 200x280/45t. After the end of Porsfeld, Gestra started its own production of splitting machines and development of other machinery and accessories for the stone-splitting industry.

The biggest stone-splitting machine in the world at that time – HSM 2000x1000/800t was produced.
> 2005
Production was extended by another factory building.
> 2007
Gestra CZ was founded. The production structure was reorganized because of the increasing interest in Gestra' splitting machines and to increase efficiency in the future, Gestra s.r.o. was divided in two independent companies: the original Gestra s.r.o. and the new company Gestra CZ, s.r.o.
This new company targets on manufacturing, assembling and delivery of machines Gestra and original company Gestra, s.r.o. targets the production of components, spare parts and ensures service for Gestra machines.
Both companies cooperate together.
> 2008
For one of our German clients we have produced the biggest stone splitting machine for blocks in the world - HSM 2000x1200/640t. The advantage of this big splitting machine is that it is designed for the purpose of transportation to another quarry if customer needs. This design concept was made at customer's request.
